‘Chance Meetings’ originally started 1) with a song inspiration and 2) in an AU world I had going with a friend, but it has evolved into its own standing thing since then. I got hooked on the knowledge that Nate had (rare) one night stands, and I liked the idea of Abby and him meeting pre-B1. So it’s both of them feeling lonely and looking for companionship/a connection for a night. Abby being Abby handles the aftermath poorly and kinda makes a fool of herself. But it doesn’t matter because hey! He was just a stranger! She’s never going to see him again
…just for said stranger to walk into her office a couple years later, working under her absentee mother no less.
As for ‘Bite’, that was just me playing with the idea of Sidestep being a vampire. Avoiding the sun (wearing layers), weird habits etc, it was an easy AU to tie together….and I just wanted to play with a biting/vampire feeding scene between her and Ric, because there NEEDS to be more sexy vampire biting in the world. So this fic is fulfilling that lol
